Master Indoor Grilling in 4 Simple Steps
- Preheat Properly: Heat grill pan on medium-high for 3-5 minutes until water sizzles on contact.
- Oil & Season: Brush food (not pan) with oil. Season proteins 30 minutes before cooking.
- Perfect Placement: Place food at 45° angle to ridges. Don't move for 3-4 minutes for perfect marks.
- Flip & Finish: Rotate 90° and flip for diamond pattern. Cast iron retains heat for even cooking.
How to Care for Your Grill Pan
Care tips:
- Preheat gradually for more even cooking
- Use medium to medium-high heat for most grilling
- Let food sear before turning to help develop grill marks
- Allow the pan to cool before washing
- Hand wash with warm water and mild dish soap
- Use a soft brush or sponge to clean between ridges
- Dry thoroughly before storing
- Avoid sudden temperature changes
- Do not place a hot pan under cold water
